Training Staff
At K-9 Companions, all of our staff members share one important trait: a true passion and love for dogs!
Our training staff is comprised of certified master trainers who come from diverse backgrounds, including:
- Veterinary medicine
- Animal behavior
- Animal biology
- Veterinary science
- U.S. military K-9 service
All of our trainers—regardless of education or experience—undergo an apprentice training program before coming onboard full-time.
Kennel Staff, Vet and Groomer
Our kennel staff bathes, feeds and attends to the dogs and keeps the kennels and other facility areas clean and orderly. All staff members undergo orientation training and are taught to interact with the dogs in the same way as the trainers. This helps ensure the most consistent training environment possible.
We also have a professional groomer on staff and an on-call veterinarian.
Facility
Our facility sits on three beautiful acres in rural Southern California, nestled in the hills near Corona and Lake Mathews in Riverside County. We have three separate training fields, and our dog clients reside in heated/air-conditioned barracks-style sleeping quarters. Each dog has his own bed to sleep in—no animals sleep on the dirt here.
